Contorted Minds last friday. It was good! Jan rips it up on drums, I have confidence in his play with Brodequin.

Batushka, Arkona (Poland) yesterday.
Arkona were tight, just very boring in my opinion. Did nothing to me.
Batushka were great, saw them last year. Shame they played a big stage now, last year was in a small, intimate room. Came better to its right that way. Also, I really wanted to punch people for talking and vaping in front of me all the time. Get out if you cannot shut up. Especially during melancholic instrumental parts and a cappella chanting.

Ewww Full Terror Assault. Last year's was literally one of the worst weekends of my life. I won't be back unless they change the festival at the fundamental level. Do hope you make it to CDF man, gonna be a great weekend!
As for me, my next couple of small time shows are the Immolation tour, which I will be showing up to late and leaving extremely early. After that is The Suffo/MA tour, can't wait to see Steven Tucker on stage. Every other tour announced this year just bores me to fucking tears, maybe one or two good bands surrounding by a sea of crap. Semi-excited for the Devastation on the Nation tour but I won't even know who I'm seeing until dates are announced because they're splitting bands up between dates and shit. Seen 90% of the ones I even like at least once anyway, so whatever.
When it comes to bigger shows, I've got some bigger plans. I was actually trying to go over to Tokyo to see the farewell Vomit Remnants show with Ecchymosis, 7 H. Target, Gorevent, and others, but I doubt if I'll have the money, depressingly. Other than that, planning on coming to LVDF, great line-up, and then I would see Vader and IB there instead of Chicago. Obviously I'll be at CDF. Thinking if it's a good selection, I may go to the Dark Descent showcase fest in Denver that Matt is putting together, that sounds like it could be killer. Louisville Deathfest, which will be at the end of September, is going to have a really cool line-up, but y'all gonna have to wait and see that one. Was also going to try and go abraod to either UK Slam Fest (holy shit Scatorgy and Introrectalgestation final reunions and Hymenotomy, fuck!!!) or NRW Deathfest, which is supposed to be coming back this year, but I haven't heard any developments. Both of those are sadly on the same weekend.

I like the idea of camping and music I was going last year but about 2 hours out from the house they had Putrid Pile play a day early then he was supposed to so I just turned around/also got in a fight with my girl and basically just said fuck it.

Just got back from Netherlands Death Fest!!!
Highlights for me were Brodequin, Wormrot, Disavowed, Malignancy, and Defeated Sanity.
Also putting on good performances were Sinister, General Surgery, Cianide, Dead Congregation, Bloodbath, and Repulsion.
Best non-death metal bands that stood out to me that I never heard before were Iron Lung, and Antigama.
Overall badass fest with killer people! Crowd was awesome, and it was good to see some good friends!

Got back from Netherlands Deathfest as well, only friday for me. Highlights, Gorgasm, Brodequin, Wormrot. Wasn't able to attend on saturday and sunday unfortunately. I still miss the old Neurotic DF but the few bands I wanted to see killed it, and I met so many friends once again Next one is... dunno, we're gonna play in Russia soon with Relics of Humanity, and I can't wait to see 7h Target and Extermination Dismemberment in Moscow ! Hard to see these bands outside of Russia. And gig that I will only attend without playing, next one is probably Chicago Domination Fest...

Just got back from Netherlands Deathfest, weighing going to some of these next (not a lot of death metal coming up at the moment around Sacramento):
Kreator w/Obituary, Midnight, Horrendous - March 26th @ The Fillmore, SF Khemmis w/Oathbreaker, Jaye Jayle - March 29th @ Thee Parkside, SF Power Trip w/Mizery - April 5th @ Thee Stylehouse, Stockton
People in Northern California should try to hit up the Cartilage CD release with Caffa, Succumb, and Rust on March 19th at Codeword in San Francisco. I'm going to be in Florida for work, so make up for my absence.

Last show I went to was Phrenelith, Necrot, Skeletal Remains, and Morfin in San Diego. It was a great line-up, and every band absolutely killed it. It was Super Bowl Sunday and the bar was tiny so the turnout wasn't great, but I had a blast.
Upcoming shows I'll be attending: Inferno Festival in Norway Jag Panzer/San Diego Metal Swapmeet Las Vegas Deathfest 9
I missed Cordyceps + the Gatekeeper reunion a few months ago back in Long Beach. Still pissed about that.

Saw Logic of Denial yesterday in Lille (France), during their Eurotour. They killed it - not the best conditions (drum machine and kinda shitty venue) - but I loved their set, excellent songs. Can't wait for the new release.

Upcoming shows I'll be attending: Inferno Festival in Norway Jag Panzer/San Diego Metal Swapmeet Las Vegas Deathfest 9 I missed Cordyceps + the Gatekeeper reunion a few months ago back in Long Beach. Still pissed about that. Abbath rage quitting aside, Inferno was absolutely fantastic. Every band put on an amazing show and I got to meet tons of great people. Slaugmar definitely stole the show by "hanging" people on stage and burning a "witch" (this was an actual person, not a prop) on a giant upside down cross suspended above the stage. Personal highlights included Crowbar, Pillorian, Whoredom Rife, and Carcass. Its great to see how large the San Diego metal swapmeet has become, but this was definitely my least favorite year. I was very happy to finally see Jag Panzer. Its always a pleasure to see such a tight live performance, especially from a legendary band! In my excitement for the upcoming LVDF, I overlooked the fact that it starts on a Thursday. Whats up with that? I unfortunately don't think I will be able to attend anymore due to work, but I'm trying to find a way to make it happen. At the very least, I'll still catch Vader and Internal Bleeding as they pass through Orange County on their way to LVDF. [/quote]

Going to see Suffocation on the 29th of this month and then Gorguts and Defeated Sanity in June. Very stoked for that.
Also heard that Undergang is doing a US tour this summer. The date they were supposed to play in NY last year was cancelled for some reason so I really hope they make it out this way again

Visceral Disgorge is playing CO Springs tomorrow night. I am pretty stoked about that. Metallica is also in a couple weeks which will hopefully be cool.

Saw Suffocation the other night. Since it was a NY show, Frank Mullen handled the bulk of the vocal duties. Always a good time there.
Next up is Gorguts on the 23rd. Bummed that Defeated Sanity dropped off the tour but on the plus side, Artificial Brain is now playing on the bill that night.
