Absolutely loved this band! Still have my Gaia Deformed shirt I got from them off myspace! Sadly they split up quite a while ago I think. The vocalist Sam is now the vocalist for Condemned and their guitar player Paul was also in Condemned for a while. Glad to see someone still listening to this band though criminally underrated in my book would have loved and still would love to hear more from them! Also in the same vein is Parasitic. If you're unfamiliar with them here we go: Sounds good so far. Reminds me a bit of older Pathology.

I'm the one guy who prefers digipaks. I'm always having to buy replacement jewel cases but my digis are fine. I'm not careless with any of my CD's, mostly the jewel cases have to be replaced because of how they were shipped but none of my digis are damaged at all. I don't toss em around or anything. Seconding this, actually. Digipaks are more aesthetically pleasing to me, for one, but most of all, I seem to have the worst fucking luck in the world with jewel cases. I swear, it's like I place the slightest amount of pressure on one with my fingertip and it's enough to put a crack the size of the fucking Grand Canyon in those fragile bastards.

I hate having to buy 10 or 25 packs of replacement jewel cases. The worst is when only one part of it breaks so you have to swap out a blank jewel case part for it and then you have odds and ends of jewel cases in a box somewhere for 'spare parts'. Although, I do know that when I was buying from CD Universe constantly and your order came with a broken jewel case, they would ship a new one to you free of charge. I stopped buying from there because Amazon has a better selection.

A beaten up or worn digipak can sometimes add character to the album, I find. Or at the very least that specific item in your collection. Like, "oh, yeah, this digipak is beaten to hell because I kept it in my car for a full year and never took it out so now I have a ton of great memories with it". That kind of shit.

Vomit Remnants is back together, I"m excited for it. I remember seeing them back in 2005 at the Rotterdam Death Fest.

Only doing a couple farewell shows in Japan though. And they are supposed to be releasing final music on ULR eventually.

20+ years. Pretty shocking. I'm very interested to see what he does with Narcotic Wasteland now though!

20+ years. Pretty shocking. I'm very interested to see what he does with Narcotic Wasteland now though! Whoa, someone else bought that debut too? Haha, it was decent enough. I wonder if he turns it into a Nile clone though which wouldn't be all bad. Nile won't be the same now. When someone that integral to a band's sound leaves, the band typically loses the atmosphere that made them special. Same thing happened when Amon Amarth's drummer left. Dude was so solid on the double kick every song and he left and they released Jomsviking and something just felt 'off' about the band. Glad I saw the classic lineup live though. Such a killer live experience.

Supposedly, Narcotic Wasteland will be touring this year, so it would be cool to see them.
Heard mixed reviews on the new DtF, will need to hear that a little better to develop an opinion on it.

New Coprobaptized Cunthunter is retarded sick.
Comatose recently signed a new band called Posthuman Abomination, excited to see where this goes.
And I'll be preordering the new Antropophagus with my next check as well.

New Castrensis song! Sounds pretty killer just like their full-length. Glad to see they're still active

Ah yep, same here, excellent very underrated band imo. The new song is great, a bit different from their previous release though. Maybe because of the new singer.

hatefultransgression.bandcamp.com/I never thought I'd live to see the day that a "blackened brutal-death" band would actually both exist and work. Fuckin shit this is good.

so not too much activity around here lately eh?
meanwhile i've been getting into the latest cerebral incubation, they dialed down the groovy gore grind bullshit to one song and made the rest sound massive. the drum sound in particular is the shit, i love it
i imagine most people will have heard this by now but here's a vid anyway
i'd also like to point out that tentacle centipede is the return of far east brutality ca. 2006. i love everything about this...the slam in this song is the absolute shit
