I went with 138. Though not technically an album still my favorite release by them.

1.3.8 is Molesting with bonus tracks, so, yeah. For some reason it always gets remembered as an album when it's a compilation. Oh well.

Same, 138 is more interesting but it's not an "album", so yep, MTD.

I flip flop between MTD/138 & BTW. Butcher has so much nostalgia attached to it for me since it's the first Devourment album I heard. That opening track with the Gacy sample and when the music kicks in... God damn it, just blew my 16 year old tits clean off. Overall I spin MTD/138 more now a days so that's my vote.

I was super amped after hearing the demo track with Wayne of vocals for Autoerotic Asphxiation. From there, my anticipation for new material grew and grew. Like most bands, their legacy grew during their sebatacle. That feeling of nostalgia was the tipping point for me between the two.

1.3.8. IMO it's the mandatory release for anyone that is into guttural slamming BDM.

MTD may be objectively better (not sure, I flip fop on this a lot) but I've gotta go with Butcher as well for nostalgia reasons. The Masturbating at the Slab slam is still an all-time favorite slam to me.
